Spring is one of my most favorite times of the year to fish. All of the common inshore species are starting to migrate from the backwater creeks onto the shallow water flats. Coming out of the cooler winter months the fish are hungry and searching for fresh food. The springtime offers one of the best opportunities to catch a trophy size fish as opposed to other times of the year when these giants aren’t hungry. 9 out 10 times these fish will eat the bait you throw their way during this time.
